Prices are for one tuber with at least one growing eye ready to get to work. Not a clump, not a crowd—just one mighty little tuber. Every tuber offered is grown right here at Havenley Farm.

You may have a better chance at scoring your faves that way. Items aren’t officially yours until you check out and get your email confirmation. Shipping Canada-Wide
We ship tubers anywhere in Canada for a flat $28 using Canada Post. When your order ships, we’ll send you tracking info so you can stalk it lovingly on its journey. Orders over $250 before tax receive complementary tuber shipping - hey yo!
Local Orders
Near Victoria? Lucky you! Select “Farm Pickup” at checkout. Would you like them early? Leave us a note at checkout.
Otherwise, local orders will be ready in April—we’ll notify you when it’s time to come by. Orders shipping north and east will be held until the risk of frost in your area has passed.

Adding more? Couldn’t resist? Personally, I do it every year. The world needs more dahlias.

Product Satisfaction
We adore our customers and we want you to be thrilled with your purchase. But a friendly heads-up: tubers aren’t always beauty-pageant ready. They might not be big, uniform, or “Instagram perfect,” and they may come with digging scars or funny little shapes. That’s just nature being nature—and it doesn’t affect how they grow. The flowers are the real divas here, not the tubers. Size and shape do not equal health or vigor.
When your box arrives, please peek at your tubers right away. If something looks damaged from shipping, send us an email with photos within 2 days of receiving them. After 2 days, they’re officially in your care. We can’t be responsible for issues caused by weather, pests, rot, poor conditions, improper storage, or how a plant performs once it’s in the ground.
We’re sticklers for accurate labeling, but every now and then a sneaky mislabel slips through. If your dahlia blooms and it’s not what you ordered, let us know. We label with a trusty garden marker to keep names where they belong. Hot tip: label when you plant and again when they bloom—you’ll thank yourself later!
Need to hold off planting? Tuck your tubers into a cool, dark spot (5–7°C) with the packaging slightly open so moisture doesn’t party in there. Instructions are included. On our farm, we love to pre-sprout—we bring tubers somewhere warm to “wake them up” before planting. If your tuber hasn’t shown green growth within 6 weeks of arrival, email us with photos. We’re unable to refund tubers that have rotted in the ground.
Refunds
If something unexpected happens on our end—like storage gremlins, tuber loss, or we can’t fill your order on our end, we’ll reach out right away. You can then choose a refund, substitution, or credit for next year. We do keep backup stock, but sometimes the universe throws curveballs.
The American Dahlia Society notes that a high percentage of totally healthy-looking dahlias may quietly carry a dormant virus. We work hard to keep our plants happy—almost daily checks, and although rare, the quick removal of any suspicious plants. But some viruses show few or no symptoms and can also arrive via your garden or insects. So we can’t promise every plant will be virus-free, and we can’t guarantee refunds for plants that later show signs of virus.
We will refund the cost of your tuber (minus shipping) if it turns out to have no viable eye. Just remember: tubers sprout on their own schedule—some are keeners, some are slow morning people. If a refund is needed, we’ll process it quickly. Reach out to chat.
